We're All Witnesses
Growing up in a sunny country with hot weather almost all the time is not as bad as some people may think. We may not have four seasons and the aesthetic scenery that comes with it, but that doesn't mean everything within our surroundings are completely hideous. The blue sky, for instance, has a deeper value that I don't think people understand.
The only thing I enjoy about stepping outside is being under this blue sky. This sky has been a part of this universe since before any of us were born. As human beings, we've done many things under this sky whether it's crime, work or charity. We all grow up under this sky and experience the many changes in our own personal lives. Problems, celebrations and people come and go, but the sky is the only thing that remains constant. We are all witnesses to that, but we don't often look up and deeply, deeply ponder it.
When contemplating while really looking at it, I personally forget all of my issues and troubles I have with myself. Because we all live under the same sky, I find myself thinking about other people everywhere around this world and what they are going through as well. I may be stressed about something, meanwhile a child may have died of hunger or disease, a married couple might be consummating their marriage, the people of Gaza would be protesting tirelessly for their freedom or a woman might have given birth and officially become a mother. So many things could be happening under the exact same sky we look at everyday, but we don't really know. This really helps put things into perspective, and this serves as a reminder that sometimes we may fare well or worse compared to some people in our lives, but either way we are faring together since, after all, we are under the same sky -- the only constant in our lives.
