The Beach Is Not Too Friendly - Poetry Writing

Why do you do this, hmm? Everything's calm for a bit ;  the smooth movement of the ocean, the cool breeze, the  dim light of the moon and the scent of the wind is like perfume.  What happened all of a sudden? Waves are  suddenly more frequent and aggressive ,, splashing huge  amounts of water on the very small island and getting everybody wet.  People then go home since the beach is not too friendly.  They change in their clothes and laze around doing other things  in other places. And then suddenly everything's calm again ;; smooth movement,  cool breeze and the scent of perfume.  But it's only a matter of time before the frequent and aggressive waves come again ,,  and people will get wet and seek refuge in their homes doing other things.  The beach isn't a place for your own entertainment ;; it's being its natural self ,,  and aggressive waves are natural the same way the smooth movements are.

Baby Girl - Poetry Writing

Oh baby girl, I do not wish to raise you in a world partitioned unjustly,  and where people don't know what's happening  on the other side where the other half lives.   Oh baby girl, the difference is infuriating.  The scale's unbalanced; too much weight on one side,  and too little on the other side. The ignorance and greed  accomplishes nothing but further ignorance and greed.  Oh baby girl, I hope you can see the difference  between the two partitioned worlds.  I hope you can act justly and bring about great change.  I hope you will be of those to pass on great knowledge to the world.  Oh baby girl, I love you.  It's my job to raise you, to care for you and to educate you so that you will be of those informed. I love  you more than the world. I know you will make a difference.

The Best Teachers

I give off vibes of being a misanthrope to people within my circle, and weirdly enough, one thing I like about this world is its very people. There are all kinds, no doubt, and it really is unfair that I place hatred towards an entire species. That was my 15 - year - old "logic." With time and age, while still questioning my exact purpose and point of existence, which I have now thankfully found, I also fully realised other people's. We all have a universal, worldly purpose; to teach and learn.     Having lived in four countries in my life and going to international schools, I didn't realise how lucky I truly was to live and learn in a very diverse environment. I didn't have the curiosity to explore the many different types of people I was always surrounded with. It was only at the end of high school that I truly realise the one thing great about people; the lessons they teach you.      Though high school wasn't personally the be...

We're All Witnesses

Growing up in a sunny country with hot weather almost all the time is not as bad as some people may think. We may not have four seasons and the aesthetic scenery that comes with it, but that doesn't mean everything within our surroundings are completely hideous. The blue sky, for instance, has a deeper value that I don't think people understand.      The only thing I enjoy about stepping outside is being under this blue sky. This sky has been a part of this universe since before any of us were born. As human beings, we've done many things under this sky whether it's crime, work or charity. We all grow up under this sky and experience the many changes in our own personal lives. Problems, celebrations and people come and go, but the sky is the only thing that remains constant. We are all witnesses to that, but we don't often look up and deeply, deeply ponder it.      When contemplating while really looking at it, I personall...
